Putting People at the Heart of AI Implementation
AI is transforming how we work and at True, we believe how we lead that change is just as important as the technology itself. That’s why we brought together senior communicators and change specialists for a lively and thought-provoking morning at our inaugural True Breakfast Event, hosted at 180 House, London
A Morning of Insightful Conversations on AI at Work
The focus of the session? Navigating AI implementation in a way that builds trust, confidence, and capability across teams. As organisations increasingly invest in AI, the role of internal communications has never been more important.
A Practical Framework for People-First AI Transformation
Our keynote speaker, Frank Dias has been integrating AI into his comms workflow since 2022. He shared useful insights from his time as an inhouse practitioner together with tips for us to think about as we develop our AI implementation plans that put employees at the heart. These included people-first foundation, responsible AI partnership and co-designed team and AI capability
What it really means to lead an AI transformation that puts people first
We guided the room through three key questions to spark reflection on what it really means to lead an AI transformation that puts people first:
· How do we ensure our AI use puts people first?
· What role should communication play in responsible AI governance?
· What are the what are the most significant barriers to achieving team AI capability
The responses led to rich discussion and a clear consensus that internal communicators must shape both the ethics and the experience of AI at work.
What We Learned and What’s Next
AI implementation strategies often focus on platforms and tools. But what about people? Our session showed that communicators have a unique opportunity to build understanding, reduce fear, and empower teams to use AI responsibly and effectively.
Our Commitment to Responsible AI Implementation
At True, we’ve signed the Global Alliance Venice Pledge a commitment to the ethical and responsible use of AI in communication. This guides our work and our advice to clients as we help shape people-centred transformation that builds trust, not just efficiency.
